You write
What you want to make, roughly when you need it, and anything you have already tried. Half a page is plenty. You do not need to know the technical side — that is my job.

I reply within two working days
Either with questions, or with a straight answer that this is not a good fit and who would be better. A referral costs me nothing and saves you a month.

Thirty minutes, no charge
A call about what you are trying to do. You leave knowing roughly what it would involve, whether or not you hire me.
Where I am useful.
- A business that needs a proper website and does not want to build it themselves.
- A shop that needs to sell online without fighting a template every week.
- An idea that needs bookings, logins or accounts — the kind of thing a website builder cannot do.
- An app for iPhone and Android, which is what I have spent most of my career on.
- Something that already exists, half works, and needs someone to take it seriously.
Less useful: anything needing a team of ten, pure design work with no building involved, or a project where the decisions are already made and you just need hands. I will say so on the first call rather than take the work.
