The banking app on your phone? I helped build it.

Now I build websites, shops and apps for people who would rather hand the whole thing to someone who knows what they are doing. I am Yacine. You deal with me directly — there is nobody else to go through.

What I make

Four kinds of thing.

• A website

  A handful of pages that explain what you do and make it easy to get in touch. Loads fast, works properly on a phone, and turns up when someone searches for you.

• An online shop

  Products, a basket, and payments that actually go through. Set up so you can add and change things yourself afterwards without calling me.

• Something people log into

  Bookings, member areas, dashboards, tools your staff use. The kind of thing a website builder cannot do, where people log in and their information has to be right.

• A phone app

  On the App Store and Google Play, on iPhone and Android. This is what I have spent most of fifteen years doing.

How it goes

Three steps, and you can stop after the first.

1. 01

   We talk

   Thirty minutes, no charge. You describe what you want. I tell you what it would take and whether I am the right person for it — sometimes I am not, and I will say so and point you somewhere better.

2. 02

   I build it

   You see it early and often, not after six weeks of silence. When something is not right, we change it while changing it is still cheap.

3. 03

   It goes live

   Hosting, domain, the lot. Then it is yours. I can keep an eye on it afterwards if you want, and if you do not, everything is set up so anyone else can take over.

What it costs

One price, agreed before anything starts.

I know “get in touch for a quote” is annoying. Here is what I can tell you before I have even seen your project:

• You get one price, in writing, before I start. Not an hourly rate that quietly runs.
• It does not change unless you change what you asked for — and then we agree the new number first.
• You own everything at the end: the code, the domain, the accounts. Nothing is locked to me.
• If your budget and your idea do not match, I will tell you on the first call and suggest what to leave out.

Squarespace, Wix, Shopify

If you need a few pages and you do not mind doing it yourself, these are genuinely good and far cheaper than I am. Use them. Come back when you have outgrown them, or when the fiddling has started costing you more than the money it saved.

Someone on a freelance marketplace

Cheaper up front, and there are plenty of good people on there. The risk is yours: if it breaks in six months or the person stops replying, you start again. Sometimes that is a fine bet to make.

An agency

If your project needs ten people and someone to coordinate them, hire an agency — they are built for that and I am not. You will pay for the account manager and the meetings, which is a fair trade at that size.

Someone you know

Free is a real advantage and I will not pretend otherwise. Just check you can still reach them in a year, when something has broken and you need it fixed this week.

What is left is the middle: a project too involved to do yourself, too small for an agency to care about, and too important to risk on someone you cannot reach. That is the part I am good at.
